The Technology

Laser vein treatments use targeted light energy to safely treat visible veins and small vascular lesions, like cherry angiomas. The laser emits a specific wavelength of light that is absorbed by the red pigment (hemoglobin) in the blood vessels. When the light is absorbed, it gently heats the vein, causing it to collapse and seal. Over time, the body naturally breaks down and removes the treated vessel, leaving the surrounding skin untouched.

The same principle works for cherry angiomas—the laser targets the small blood vessels making up the angioma, causing them to shrink and fade without harming surrounding tissue.
